Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said conservative blogger Erick Erickson, who has recently said the Republicans should prepare for a third-party alternative if Donald Trump wins the party’s 2016 presidential nomination, is “functionally supporting Hillary Clinton.”
A so-called “antifascist” group that supports illegal immigration is planning a rally against GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump this Saturday in New York City, the same day that a Black Lives Matter affiliated group that also supports illegal immigration is planning a rally in Phoenix, Arizona.
Republican presidential candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz says that “no one should be surprised that Donald Trump is trying to stir up riots” in reaction to Trump’s prediction that there would be riots if he was denied the nomination after being just shy of the necessary 1,237 delegates and challenged Trump to a debate when both are in Washington, DC for AIPAC’s conference.
Several more GOP senators say they are willing to meet with President Barack Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court seat left open by the sudden death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
