The election is just a few weeks away . The important question to all of us is not who we should vote for . Rather how should we vote with a "Kingdom perspective " first and foremost . 2 Chronicles 7:14 says " If my people, who are called by my name , will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways , then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land . " Hopefully we will all vote and take each issue according to our Biblically informed conscience. James 1 :5 says , " If any of you lacks wisdom , he should ask God , who gives generously to all without finding fault , and it will be given to him. " Great advice for all of us is to ask God through prayer in making our vote. Neither candidate or party fully represents the Kingdom of God . Do not expect our government to be the key to the transformation of the culture in this nation. It is our command to be the "salt " and the "light " in a falling and failing world . Many of us want God to Bless America . Yet do we also want our nation to be " under God " ?
