Longtime Republican Party of Minnesota activist Bonn Clayton will stand alongside three opponents on Saturday (4/6) and vie to chair the state party. During his interview on Liberty Tree Radio last week, he offered his side of the story regarding a controversy in Judicial District 1 which has resulted in two different organizations claiming to be the legitimate executive committee for the district. One of those organizations is chaired by Clayton. This week, we hear the other side of the story presented by Jeff Miner, who was elected to chair JD1 at a convention called by the state executive committee in January. While certainly qualifying as "inside baseball," the details of this dispute prove relevant to those delegates who will cast votes for state party chair on Saturday.
